Started in 2002, Makaua crafts home decor products from the Brahea Dulcis palm that will last for generations to come. Made from Brahea Dulcis Palm from Southern Mexico, the palm is hand-gathered by local families who then do the dyeing and hand weaving. There are no chemicals or added finishes, just the dye colors. These baskets will last until the palm fiber breaks down and biodegrades. The beautiful colors and designs of the baskets make them accessible as practical design accessories for many life styles and sustainable homes.
